About Caitlin
Caitlin is a Utah native and loves living near the mountains — you can usually find her skiing or hiking on the weekends. She recently moved back to her home state after an 8-year adventure living in New York City, where she grew to love cycling, Broadway, and being a subway ride away from dozens of different cultures.
Education and Experience
Caitlin received a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Brigham Young University in 2016 and went on to work in the creative advertising industry for almost a decade. She is currently attending Syracuse University pursuing a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy.
Therapeutic Philosophy and Approach
Caitlin approaches therapy with the belief that relationships and personal stories play an important role in how people understand themselves and connect with others. (Related Article: Marriage Counseling: What is Empathy?). A top priority for Caitlin is to provide an empathetic and nonjudgmental space where clients feel supported in sharing their experiences. Drawing from psychodynamic and narrative approaches, she collaborates with clients to look at past experiences and better understand underlying themes, gently challenge unhelpful patterns, and develop new perspectives that align with their values and goals.
